Accuracy of results and the length of time it takes for your results to arrive depend on the quality of the sample submitted. Taking a high-quality sample is the first step to receiving accurate genomic results. A variety of samples, including hair roots and blood are acceptable for genomic testing. Hair Sample Collection
When submitting hair samples, please make sure at least 25 follicles (bulb intact) are included to ensure adequate volume of DNA to complete the test. Hair sample collectors can be ordered here. |

Blood Sample Card Collection
When collecting blood, use a new needle, syringe or pin prick device for each animal as it is critical to eleminate cross-contamination of DNA. Allow blood to dry completely before shipping, but do not dry them in direct sunlight or in a plastic bag. Blood sample FTA cards can be ordered here. |

Please follow the steps below:

Print a copy of the Test Request Info form and add your signature where appropriate on the Customer Information pages.

For Dairy Samples, please follow additional instructions on the Submission Instructions tab.

Send a copy of the signed order form with the samples you are submitting to your CLARIFIDE Accredited Veterinarian. If you do not know who the CLARIFIDE Accredited Veterinarian in your area is, please contact Customer Service at 1-800-506-6683.
